Fleet of vehicles

Objective

It is the objective of the company to have an up-to-date fleet of vehicles, which at all times will contribute to an active road safety and at the same time make sure that the  transport tasks for our customers are carried out safely. Therefore 90 % of the transport tasks are carried out with Andreas Andresen A/S' own reefer trailers and min. 50 % of the transports with Andreas Andresen A/S' trucks / drivers.

Andreas Andresen A/S' own fleet of vehicles consists of:

• 400 high-quality trucks primarily Mercedes, MAN and Iveco, which are serviced at authorized repair facilities according to recommended service regulations, which ensures a constant, functional and safe fleet of trucks.
  
  All vehicles are supplied with satellite monitoring and navigation - and communication equipment. In addition to that the vehicles are equipped with first aid equipment and the compulsory mirrors, which make the driver's view better and with it consider the safety of other drivers.
  
  
• 800 high-quality reefer trailers primarily Krone, Schmitz and Chereau supplied with Thermo King and Carrier reefer machines, ensure a safe, reliable and hygienic transport of fresh as well as frozen goods. The trailers are made to meet customer's requirements as regards temperature, packaging of the goods, stacking and hanged meat. To this we need different types of trailers:
  
  
  • Ordinary reefer trailers
    
    
  • Double compartment trailer with partition wall and 2 reefer machines
    
    
  • Double stock
    
    
  • Different trailers with hanged meat

In 2009 all trailers will be equipped with satellite monitoring, and they are also equipped with automatically log of temperature, set temperature, supply air temperature, temperatures in the middle and back in the trailer and return air. These data are kept for 12 months and can be handed out if you want to get an insight into the temperature during transport.

It is stipulated that all reefer trailers, which carry out transports of perishable goods between countries, are ATP-approved. The reefer machines are serviced4 times a year at authorized repair facilities, and a calibration of the reefer machines are made on a yearly basis.

After each transport all reefer trailers will be cleaned both inside and outside.

Authorizations.

Andreas Andresen A/S is approved to carry out transports of foodstuffs and has a EU driving license for all trucks. Fore more information please click here Authorizations.

Insurance
Obviously all trucks and trailers have the compulsory third party liability insurance and in addition to that they are also insured against loss of or material damage to motor vehicles in approved insurance companies.
